Ball run

Before this huge piece of cardboard was cut up to make my construction tray, I used it to create a ball run. Kitchen and toilet roll holders cut in half and stuck on with sellotape was all it took but it did need a bit of testing and re-jigging to make sure they were at the correct angles.

My two really enjoyed trying out different things to roll down and discussing what worked the best - they tried cous cous (messy - do it in a tuff tray or on a mat!), pom poms, toy eggs, balls from board games and the yellow containers from Kinder eggs. Nice to get a bit of scientific discussion into the activity - predicting what would work well and then deciding whether their theory had been correct!
