construction tuff tray
A huge piece of cardboard from some furniture packaging got my creative juices flowing! I cut it to the size of the tuff tray and then used a circle cutter (pictured below, £2 from The Works, really easy & effective to use with cardboard but tends to just rip paper) to cut out a regular pattern of circles.
Some cardboard tubes and 'planks' of cardboard were laid out for the kids to find in the morning, with a message - "What will you build?" The answer...
...a Ninja fort!
The tubes fitted snugly into the holes so it created a fairly sturdy construction.
A game with Ninjago Lego figures ensued after the building finished so it kept them busy for a while!
