Toddler Fun - Springtime Egg Hunt Tray & Painting With Nature
I've had a lovely time this morning babysitting my friend's two year old daughter. I set up a tuff tray for her using some ponies, little figures, Happyland fairies and homemade toadstools (painted prosecco corks!) as her mum advised she enjoys small world play. I filled the middle of the tray with shredded paper and hid lots of little glittery eggs from Easter in it. (I didn't leave her unattended with this of course!) She had lots of fun rooting through the paper to find the eggs, finding different coloured eggs for each of the toys in the tray, and collecting them in a pot.
If you have an older child too you can make it more of a challenge for them with this simple idea.
She then decided she'd like to do some painting so we tried using conkers and pine cones to see what patterns we could make with them. It was nice to try something different and she enjoyed copying what I did with it, mixing the paint colours together, dabbing & rolling, lots of messy fun!
